What is jojoba oil?
Jojoba oil is extracted from the nut-like seeds of the jojoba bush. It is yellow-coloured and has a subtle to neutral odour. Since jojoba oil is actually a wax, it is not greasy and does not leave a film on the skin. It is also rich in vitamins (especially vitamin E) and nutrients (gadoleic acid) and is suitable for all skin types. Jojoba oil has a particularly nourishing effect on the skin and makes it appear younger. On the hair, it has a strengthening effect and makes it shine. These positive properties in combination with its moisturising effect are the reason why pure jojoba oil, such as our Jojoba Oil Premium, is increasingly used in cosmetics. In addition, jojoba oil does not go rancid and therefore has a particularly long shelf life. Our 100% pure jojoba oil (cold pressed) is ideal for use on the skin, hair and nails. It can be used for a particularly soothing massage as well as a base oil for any cosmetic composition.
Jojoba oil as a premium massage oil:
Jojoba oil is an excellent choice as a massage oil. It has a light texture, absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no greasy residue. Here are some reasons why jojoba oil is particularly popular as a massage oil:
-
Moisturising and nourishing: Jojoba oil is rich in natural moisturising and nourishing properties. It helps to keep the skin moisturised and supple while the massage is being performed.
-
Skin Tolerance: Jojoba oil is hypoallergenic and well tolerated by most skin types. It does not tend to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions, making it an ideal choice for sensitive skin.
-
Slippery: Jojoba oil has a smooth texture that allows hands to glide gently over the skin. This makes massage more effective and comfortable.
-
Non-comedogenic: Jojoba oil is a non-comedogenic oil, which means that it does not clog pores. This reduces the formation of blackheads and impurities.
-
Natural fragrance: Jojoba oil has a subtle, natural fragrance that is pleasant but not overpowering. It can also be mixed with essential oils to create a specific scent that helps to relax.
Jojoba oil, the all-rounder - All areas of application at a glance:
- Moisturising face and body care: Jojoba oil can be applied to the face and body as a moisturising and nourishing oil. It is quickly absorbed into the skin, moisturises and leaves a supple feeling. It can help with dry skin, flaking and skin irritations.
- Make-up remover: Jojoba oil is also excellent as a natural make-up remover. It gently dissolves make-up and dirt particles, leaving the skin cleansed and moisturised.
- Hair care: Jojoba oil can be used in hair care to revitalise dry and damaged hair. It moisturises, smoothes the hair surface, reduces split ends and gives hair a natural shine. It can be used as a hair oil, hair mask or even as a leave-in conditioner.
- Massage oil: Due to its light texture and smooth consistency, jojoba oil is excellent as a massage oil. It glides well on the skin, moisturises and can keep the skin supple during massage.
- Lip balm: Jojoba oil can be used alone or in combination with other natural ingredients to make a moisturising lip balm. It nourishes dry and chapped lips and keeps them soft and supple.
- Nail and cuticle care: Jojoba oil can also be used to care for the nails and cuticles. It can soften cuticles, moisturise and promote nail health.
