Mango wood foot bath tub with a warm herbal foot bath and flowers in a massage studio

Mango Wood Foot Bath Tub – Handcrafted in Thailand for Studio & Spa

A warm foot bath is the perfect start to any Thai massage – a moment for your clients to arrive and unwind. Our foot bath tub is handcrafted in Thailand from a single piece of mango wood. Warm tones and a striking grain make every tub unique and an eye-catcher in your treatment room.

To keep it beautiful even in busy studio use, it is double-sealed: with a clear lacquer at the factory and, on the inside, additionally by us with a special marine varnish.

Double-Sealed for a Long Lifespan

Wood and water only get along with the right protection. That is why our foot bath tub is sealed twice:

Clear lacquer from the factory: The polished surface is sealed all over with clear lacquer by the manufacturer. It protects the mango wood from moisture and stains and brings out the grain. As the water only stands on the inside, this provides sufficient protection for the outside.
Additional marine varnish inside: We have additionally sealed the inside with a special clear marine varnish. It is designed for permanent exposure to water and protects the tub exactly where it matters.

Tip: For intensive use in a studio, we recommend re-coating the inside with a clear marine varnish (matt) about every 6 months after lightly sanding the surface.

Mango wood foot bath tub with Thai herbs, bath salt, flowers and towel for a spa foot bath

How to Use: The Perfect Foot Bath

Prepare: Place the tub on a non-slip surface or a towel and fill it with pleasantly warm water.
Refine: Add Thai herbs, bath salt, flowers or a few drops of essential oil as desired.
Enjoy: Bathe the feet for about 10–15 minutes – ideal as a prelude to the massage.
Finish: Dry the feet with a towel, empty the tub, rinse it with clean water and wipe it thoroughly dry.

Water temperature: Check the temperature by hand before every foot bath. Pleasantly warm is ideal – water that is too hot is uncomfortable and, over time, also strains the sealing.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about the Mango Wood Foot Bath Tub

Is the foot bath tub watertight?

Yes. The tub is carved from a single piece of wood, so it has no joints, and the inside is double-sealed. It is important not to leave water standing in the tub after use.

Why is the marine varnish only applied on the inside?

The water only stands inside the tub. The outside is sufficiently protected by the factory clear lacquer. We applied the additional marine varnish where the stress is greatest.

How often should the tub be re-coated?

For intensive use in a studio, we recommend lightly sanding the inside about every 6 months and re-coating it with a clear marine varnish. With occasional use, this is needed much less often.

Which additives can I use for the foot bath?

Thai herbs, bath salts, flowers and essential oils are well suited. Rinse the tub with clean water after every use so that no residues remain on the surface.

Will my tub look exactly like the photos?

Every tub is handcrafted and unique. Grain and colour therefore vary slightly – which is exactly what gives mango wood its natural charm.

How big is the foot bath tub?

The tub has an outer diameter of 40 cm, an inner diameter of 37 cm and a height of 14 cm. It weighs approx. 2.6–3 kg, depending on the piece of wood. This gives plenty of room for both feet while remaining easy to carry.

Is the tub dishwasher safe?

No. Please only rinse with clean water and then wipe thoroughly dry. Do not dry the tub on a radiator or in direct sunlight.

Are fine cracks a reason for complaint?

Fine hairline cracks and slight colour changes are normal for natural wood and do not affect its function. They are caused by natural fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Regular wiping dry and occasional re-coating of the inside help prevent them.
