Wellness & Spa Tea - ideal after a soothing massage: Our Matum tea is made from sun-dried Bael fruit and has a very calming and relaxing effect. The Bael fruit is mainly cultivated in the south of Thailand. After harvesting, the fruits are sliced and placed on tarpaulins to dry. They are then made ready for export to conquer the globe as a particularly popular drink. Matum Tea has a very unique taste and its sweetness reminds one a little of orange. In Europe, Matum is also known as Bengal quince.
Note on the preparation of Matum tea: When preparing the tea, always ensure that the tea is infused with boiling water. Then leave to infuse for at least 15 minutes. This is the only way to ensure the safety of the food! The Matum slices can also be boiled in boiling water for 10 minutes. This intensifies the flavour. We recommend approx. 2-3 medium-sized fruit slices per litre, although you can also leave the slices in the tea after preparation. You can enjoy this tea hot or cold.
Nutritional values: One cup of Bael fruit tea (240 ml) contains about 60 calories, 1.8 g protein, 15.4 g carbohydrates, 0.7 g fat and 3.1 g fibre.
