Thai Atmosphere from Altar to Reception
In many Thai businesses, burning incense is part of the daily routine: at the Buddha altar, at the spirit house and when opening for the day. At the same time, scents such as jasmine, lotus and lemongrass remind many guests of their trip to Thailand.
Tip: Choose one signature scent for your business so that guests associate it with you.
Mix Your Own Room Fragrance: Reed Diffuser with Fragrance Oil
Our Kitama fragrance oils are pure perfume oils. With just a few ingredients, you can turn them into a reed diffuser for your reception, waiting area or guest toilet, with no electricity and no flame.
Basic recipe for 100 ml
- Mix: Pour the fragrance oil and base into the clean bottle and swirl well.
- Add the reeds: Place the rattan reeds in the bottle.
- Flip once: After about an hour, turn the reeds so that the soaked ends point upwards.
- Flip regularly: Turn the reeds about once a week or when the scent fades.
Good to know: One 100 ml bottle of fragrance oil makes 5 room fragrances of 100 ml each. A diffuser lasts about 8–12 weeks depending on the room. More reeds give a stronger scent but use up the mixture faster.
Please note: Diffuser base and rattan reeds are not included. The mixture is intended for use in your own business. Keep it out of reach of children and pets, away from direct sunlight and open flames. Drips can damage furniture, so use a mat. You will find information on the fragrance oil on the respective item page.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about Room Fragrance & Incense Sticks
Which incense sticks are suitable for an altar?
Our standard scents, sandalwood and frankincense, are a safe choice. Lotus and jasmine also work well.
What is the difference between incense sticks and a diffuser?
Incense sticks release scent and smoke and burn for approx. 30 minutes. A diffuser disperses fragrance oil as a cool mist, without a flame.
Can I use perfume oil in oil burners and diffusers?
Yes, our fragrance oils are suitable for oil burners and aroma diffusers. You will find instructions on the respective item page.
How do I make a reed diffuser from fragrance oil?
Mix 20 ml of fragrance oil with 80 ml of diffuser base such as DPG and add 6–8 rattan reeds. Turn the reeds about once a week.
Are there tiered prices?
Yes, for incense sticks you get 5 % off from 5 pieces and 10 % off from 10 pieces, and you can mix scents freely. From 5 packs, the holder is free.
